Fight For Our Lives

I’m fortunate that I haven’t had to fight for my life at work yet.  It’s been 5 years now (got my pin!) and I can’t believe I’ve made it this far without having to fight one or more of them.  But, I’ve responded and called fights on the radio. I’ve secured crime scenes, and taken photos of them.  I worked the mental health tier, and all I want to add to that description are these words:  naked, crazy, urine, poop, screaming.  I won’t go into more detail, to spare you, but I’ve seen a lot in the short time I’ve been there. It’s been a real ride.
Our day to day is not always glitz, glam, blood and poop. Ok, there’s no glitz and glam, but here’s a quick video to show you the stuff we get to walk into every day.  We still show up to work.
