Prep: Start up your grill or oven, we used a charcoal grill, (about 300 degrees), rinse and pat dry the chicken, apply the seasoning rub generously on the inside and outside of the bird. Take a soda can and rinse it out, then fill half way with beer, place it in the beer can stand (sold everywhere), and put the chicken over the beer can feet down.
Cook it on the grill for about an hour, checking and turning it every 15 minutes. Cover in foil if the outside is getting too crispy before the bird is cooked.
